Injection molding is a widely used manufacturing process for producing plastic parts with high precision and efficiency. It involves injecting molten plastic into a mold to create a solid part.
OUR PROCESS
1Clamping
- Mold Setup: The mold, consisting of two halves (cavity and core), is securely clamped together by the clamping unit.
- Clamping Force: The clamping unit applies significant force to keep the mold closed during injection.
2Injection
- Material Feeding: Plastic granules or pellets are fed from a hopper into the injection unit.
- Melting: The plastic is heated and melted by the screw and barrel within the injection unit.
- Injection: The molten plastic is injected into the mold cavity through a nozzle and runner system using high pressure.
3Cooling
- Solidification: The injected plastic cools and solidifies in the mold, taking the shape of the mold cavity.
- Cooling System: Channels within the mold circulate coolant to expedite the cooling process.
4Mold Opening
- Separation: Once the part has solidified, the clamping unit opens the mold, separating the two halves.
5Ejection
- Part Removal: Ejector pins or plates push the finished part out of the mold cavity.
- Ejection System: The ejection mechanism is activated to release the part without causing damage.
